Dr. Lakshmi Kannan is the founder and lead psychologist of Powerful Insights psychologist. Her mission is to empower all minds with the power of time tested and evidence based psychological tools to transcend all limits and challenges and to live life every moment to the fullest. Her vision is to perpetuate a world where all human beings experience as state of inner peace and oneness with every atom and cell of the Universe we live in consciously and powerfully contributing to our shared joy and bliss.
She is a well reputed registered psychologist (Reg # 2435) in BC based out of Vancouver. She is an ardent believer in the power of the human mind and the potential of psychology to tap into this powerful force within - to have, be and do anything we deeply desire. Her Ph.D. was in studying the effectiveness of various therapeutic strategies and she has written many articles and presented many papers on overcoming trauma, depression and taking back the power in one’s life. She has worked with a multitude of individuals, couples and can make that huge shift in a short time by putting together a holistic plan that is best suited for you and your current life situation.
She has experience working in leadership roles in diverse settings like the family court, Multinational companies, trauma and crisis clinics and personal growth centers across various countries and has tremendous cultural and diversity competence.
Her approach is calming yet concrete, incisive yet inspiring, integrating wisdom with new age scientific approaches like EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapies, stress management and inoculation training, transpersonal psychotherapy, mindfulness integrated therapies and blends them in the right mix to empower you to make positive and conscious choices through powerful insights and decisive actions.
